Real Simple's favorite marinades
garlic rosemary marinade
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
2tbsp chopped fresh oregano
4 chopped garlic cloves
1 bay leaf
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
balsamic soy marinade
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
4 chopped scallions
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
in a shallow bowl combine all the ingredients
place the steak and the marinade in a shallow bowl and let sit for 30 minutes or up to overnight in the refrigerator. each is for 4 servings (about 1.5 to 2 pounds of steak)
